COSMELAN TREATMENT
SKIN DISCOLORATION & HYPERPIGMENTATION
Skin discoloration and hyperpigmentation or “brown spots” on the face are caused by a number of factors including genetics, pregnancy, sun exposure and acne trauma. The Cosmelan mask is a medical grade peel that dramatically lightens existing spots and improves skin texture, while penetrating the skin’s deeper layers to inhibit future discolorization from surfacing.
The Cosmelan 1 mask is applied in the med spa and left on for an amount of time, usually 8-10 hours.
The Cosmelan 2 cream is applied at home, followed by Hydravital Factor K Cream and Total Moisturizing Sunblock.
Following this protocol will reduce up to 95% of pigmentation on the skin’s surface within 30 days of the initial treatment, and continued improvements will be seen with the use of the Cosmelan 2 Cream.
YAG LASER
BROWN SPOTS
The goal is to remove any unwanted 'brown spots' as quickly and painlessly as possible without damaging the skin.
We use the yag laser with a customized hand piece that allows us to incorporate two different laser wavelengths to treat a wide range of skin discolorations or 'brown spots.' Tattoo ink absorbs short pulse duration/high peak energy pulses. This effect breaks down the ink into much smaller particles that can be more easily removed by the body’s natural filtering system.
Depending on the type of brown spot removal typically requires 5-10 or more treatments, spaced at least 4 weeks apart. Complete removal is not always possible depending on the type of lesion
Numbing cream is applied approximately one hour before the treatment or for additional cost a lidocaine shot may be administered.
FRECKLE, MOLE, and SKIN TAG REMOVAL
To remove those pesky lesions from your face and body there are combination therapy treatments with the use of cautery, cryogen, lasers, and radio frequency that can be utilized with procedures other then surgery. This helps to reduce the possibility of a scar forming. Complete removal is not always possible depending on the lesion.

Microneedling is a procedure that involves repeatedly piercing the skin with tiny, sterile needles in order to induce endogenous production of collagen.

It is safer and more effective than traditional skin needling because of the unique vertical needling technology. Unlike other more invasive facial treatments, the fractional CO2 laser treats layers of skin cells in columns, leaving the surrounding cells intact to aid in healing.
